Pool Hashrate
overview
The Proswitching hashrate chart displays the total hashrate of all Proswitching miners who mined the algorithm during every 15-minute interval since PROHASHING was created on December 23, 2013.
To view the all-time chart, click the "Week" dropdown box, change it to "All-Time," and click "Change." Hover over or tap a point in the chart to display the exact hashrate at that time.
How mining pools calculate hashrate
Mining pools do not receive reports of hashrate from miners, and the rate displayed in a miner firmware page is not sent to mining servers. Instead, pools estimate hashrate by totalling the difficulty of the number of shares submitted. The number of share submissions is heavily influenced by random chance and luck.
Because luck causes changes in the hashrate estimation, the chart will never display a straight line, even if the same number of workers are connected to the pool for an extended period of time.
Proswitching vs. other modes
In addition to the default FPPS mode used by Proswitching, PROHASHING also supports PPLNS and solo mining. These mining types are even more heavily impacted by how many blocks miners find, so the hashrates of their workers are not included in this chart.
